Hand carved verdite elephant sculpture with CZ eyes and bone tusks signed by Amos Marimo of Zimbabwe, sculpture measures 3.75 inches x 5.25 inches. Amos Marimo, a well known African sculptor, has held numerous exhibitions of his work from the Rodin gallery in Paris to the Call of Africa's galleries in Boca Raton. Lot includes a signed paper biography and brief history of Verdite.
CONDITION:
Sculpture shows very little wear, few very small flakes to left ear, point of left tusk appears broken off, some excess glue visible, gift or retail ready.
